Here a simple prototype in order to show how much it’s easy turning an Android tablet (or smartphone) into a RFID UHF Reader by using a Cosino Mega 2560 – UHF RFID KIT.
The implementation is very simple since we use the Caenrfid app for the Android market whose allow the user to do basic commands on the RFID readers through bluetooth or TCP connection.
The tablet get connected through Cosino Mega 2560 on board WiFi, working as Access Point (AP), to the reader so it acts as a bridge connecting the tablet to the reader in a transparent way.
